Sara qualified from Birmingham University in 1990. After further specialist postgraduate training she obtained her Masters in 1993 in Paediatric Dentistry at Kings College Hospital (GKT).  After hospital appointments at  St Georges Hospital and Kings College Hospital, she became the Specialist for North West London Primary Care Trust based at the Specialist Treatment and Training Centre in Soho Square, and  held the post of clinical lecturer at Kings College Hospital where she still lectures to postgraduates.

For the last twelve years she has been the Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry at St Mary's Hospital, and more recently  at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
