We offer home tooth whitening, or ZOOM! in-surgery whitening for a safe and effective result.
Tooth whitening is one of our most popular treatments at Dawood and Tanner General Dental and is known to be the safest, easiest and most effective way to enhance your smile with minimal intervention and using the latest techniques which are clinically-proven.
Patients will initially have a detailed examination to ensure they are dentally fit for tooth whitening, and to determine the most appropriate whitening option. Following this many patients will then require a dental hygiene session with one of our hygiene therapists to ensure that you achieve the most effective and even result.
The result achieved can often rejuvenate your smile without the need for veneers or crowns.
For patients who have naturally white teeth but experience a lot of staining from drinking tea and coffee, and smoking, then a meticulous cleaning with one of our hygiene therapists will help to remove stains, and used in combination with Air-Flow (small particles which help to lift the most stubborn stains) this is a great alternative method to rejuvenating your smile.
We will assess the natural shade of your teeth with pre-operative photos and advanced electronic shade taking. Dental moulds are then taken of your teeth from which your custom made bleaching trays are produced for you to take home with our professional whitening gels, and use in the comfort of your own home. Home whitening is a great option for patients who are not in a hurry to whiten their teeth for a big event, and it allows you to control the shade of your teeth.
For patients requiring an immediate result we offer ZOOM! ‘In-surgery’ tooth whitening. You can relax for just over an hour while your teeth are whitened – ideal if you want do this over an extended lunch break! Similar to the home whitening, you will be provided with custom made bleaching trays for you to take home with our professional whitening gels, which allows you to maintain your healthy smile at home.
Tooth whitening of individual darker teeth such as those affected by trauma or root canal treatments can also be carried out at Dawood and Tanner General Dental Practice.
