I qualified from the Leeds Dental Institute with an Integrated Masters degree in Dentistry. Following qualifying, I carried out various prestigious training jobs in Restorative dentistry and Oral Surgery at Guy’s Hospital.

I joined the practice in 2019, and initially worked alongside Andrew Dawood as part of the Implant team. I have been fortunate to have developed a lot of experience in the restoration of dental implants from simple cases to the more complex head and neck cancer cases.

I undertook four years of specialist training in Prosthodontics at Guy’s Hospital and Kings College London. During this time, I gained extensive experience in the treatment of complex tooth wear cases and the replacement of missing teeth. Following completion of my training I qualified with a Distinction in the MClinDent in Prosthodontics from King’s College London and I passed the Royal College of Surgeons Membership Exam in Prosthodontics to become a registered specialist in Prosthodontics.

In 2018 I was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Alongside my clinical work, I have been fortunate to have also won awards for my academic work including the British Society of Restorative Dentistry Audit Prize.

I enjoy providing all aspects of Prosthodontics focusing on the aesthetics and functionality of treatment including veneers, crowns and composite bonding to enhance and restore teeth, to the replacement of missing teeth by using dental implants, bridgework or dentures.

I always aim for the best outcomes for my patients, whilst making them feel at ease and ultimately enjoy their experience at the practice.

I have been a patient at Dawood & Tanner for over 12 years seeing Dr Fiona Mackillop for restorative treatments due to gum disease. As part of my ongoing treatment, I also see hygienists Elizabeth Simpson and Tannaz Joorabchian regularly.Everyone that I have met at the practice is not only really professional and very good at what they do but they are also very friendly and are experts at making patients feel at ease before any procedure. I am never in any pain after treatment which must be a testament to the skill of Dr Mackillop. I would not hesitate to recommend her. The same is true of hygienists Elizabeth & Tannaz. My teeth always feel and look super clean after dental hygiene with them.I always feel well informed about any treatment I need as all the details are confirmed in advance in writing so I know what to expect and if I have any questions these are answered quickly.

I discovered Dawood and Tanner some years ago after experiencing problems with previous root canal work. Fiona Mackillop was amazing and I couldn’t have been more satisfied.However, my recent experience has exceeded my expectations. I needed emergency treatment following a fall on holiday in Australia. A quick call ensured that they saw me the day I arrived home, two further appointments were arranged and a temporary bridge was fitted within just three days! Amazing service.Renata deserves a special mention, she is such a wonderful coordinator and managed to move heaven and earth to find the time in Fiona’s diary to fit me in. Thank you Renata!

Fiona MacKillop, my periodontist and Taz, my hygienist have looked after my teeth for years and without these brilliant experts I definitely would have lost teeth and suffered hugely.Fiona MacKillop recommended I see an oral surgeon recently as she suspected there was something wrong with my gums and the skin in my mouth.To explain for 1.5 years since the 4th Covid vaccine I have been suffering very debilitating external skin diseases .I have seen many dermatologists without any results or cure .Finally Professor Fedele following several biopsies diagnosed Lichen Planus an autoimmune disease that has been triggered by the Covid vaccine.This has led to further investigations where Lichen planus has been detected in other areas of my body.Without Fiona’s prompt referral I would still be suffering and none the wiser as to what is wrong with me.Possibly without treatment it could have turned cancerous.I am hugely grateful and so lucky to have had such advanced and thorough treatment at Dawood and Tanner .It is an extremely advanced practice and the staff and kind, yet exemplary and efficient.Fiona and Taz have saved my teeth and possibly my life.My thanks and gratitude to you both and all the staff .

So i first heard of Dawood and Tanner from a radio ad. I took a look at their website and was very impressed with what i saw. A vast array of treatment options and services all under one roof. I had to check them out. Best thing i ever did! Even the first phone call to arrange an appointment was more warm and welcoming than anything i had ever experienced previously from anywhere else. I met with Fiona and Emily and they made me feel so at ease. Fiona explained things in a very simple, knowledgeable and professional manner but also in a way that didn't scare me half to death. I learned more from just one visit than i had in the last 20 years. I have been there a few times recently, and now Liz the hygienist is also looking after me expertly too. Each time it has been a positive experience for me and i feel totally relaxed each time i go there. We have a good laugh too and i leave there equally relaxed.I have read a lot of the other reviews on here for D&T and they echo all of my thoughts completely. There are a couple of negative ones though that don't make any sense to me whatsoever and are nowhere close to my experiences.Believe me.....if you're looking for a fantastic dentist , you're on the right page. If in a few days/weeks you're still not sure and still sitting on the fence, then you must like splinters!I'm looking forward to seeing Fiona, Emily and Liz again soon.I know i'm in good hands.

I have been attending Dawood and Tanner for some 24 years! My mouth was in need of a lot of work, despite the fact that I regularly visited a dentist (evidently not a good one though). My root canals were failing and I had gum disease! At Dawood and Tanner I had many hygiene visits and deep cleaning from Fiona MacKillop and then she performed surgery on my gums. Eventually I was rid of gum disease. Then Andrew Dawood sorted out my root canals and my implant. The hygienist helped me with teeth whitening. I developed a gap between my front two teeth due to the previous gum disease allowing the teeth to twist and that needed to be addressed with orthodontics. I had braces fitted to both my top and bottom teeth to straighten them to prevent the damage getting worse. One and a half years later they were straight. Next issue: my jaw was slightly crooked causing my teeth to wear down at an angle. To address this problem Andrew Chandrapal bonded my teeth and Fiona adjusted my crowns to create an even biting surface. Jenny Huntley makes sure my hygiene is kept up to scratch; I see her every three months. Over the years I have seen the business grow, adding more staff and more services, but still staying warm and genuinely friendly. They have some of the best equipment anywhere and they work as a team. At one point 3 experts had a meeting about my teeth!Yes it has stretched my finances over the years but I still have my teeth - I can eat well, they look really healthy and natural, and will continue to last me the next 24 years with help from the team at Dawood & Tanner.
