Nikki Smith brings nearly 30 years of experience to her role as Patient and Referral Coordinator at Dawood & Tanner. She began her career in 2000 and has worked across both NHS and private dentistry, spending the last 19 years in private practice. For 12 of those years, Nikki served as Lead Surgical Nurse at Dawood & Tanner, where she supported clinicians across implant, surgical, and restorative procedures with exceptional clinical skill and calm professionalism.

Her deep understanding of complex treatments, combined with her natural rapport with patients, led her to become one of the first team members to move into treatment coordination. As the practice grew, Nikki played an instrumental role in developing the Patient Coordination team, ensuring every patient receives the right guidance from their very first interaction with the practice.

Today, Nikki is often the first point of contact for both patients and referring clinicians. She specialises in helping people feel heard, understood, and matched with the most appropriate specialist for their needs. Her role is key to ensuring a smooth, well-informed journey for every patient—something she approaches with empathy, confidence, and a genuine love of people and their stories.

Nikki also holds qualifications in Oral Health Education, Dental Radiography, and is a Skills Assessor in Dental Nursing, supporting her ability to guide patients with both warmth and clinical accuracy.
