Since qualifying as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist at King’s College Hospital in 2013, I have worked exclusively at West End & Central London private dental practices.

As a highly empathetic hygienist, I am dedicated to patients and their experience during hygiene visits – always keeping the balance between thorough and comfortable sessions. I provide tailor-made treatments and enjoy establishing personalised oral hygiene routines that really work.
I believe that everyone deserves a healthy smile for life, and it gives me great pleasure to work with patients towards this goal!

On the technical side, I take pride in the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease and dental caries. I am also experienced in treating patients with complex implant restorations, with experience working directly with various specialists.

No learning is ever finished, so I always keep up to date with professional development via my membership of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and my enthusiastic attendance of dental conferences.

When not caring for teeth, I enjoy cycling and paddle-boarding, and in 2018 I qualified as a yoga teacher!

So i first heard of Dawood and Tanner from a radio ad. I took a look at their website and was very impressed with what i saw. A vast array of treatment options and services all under one roof. I had to check them out. Best thing i ever did! Even the first phone call to arrange an appointment was more warm and welcoming than anything i had ever experienced previously from anywhere else. I met with Fiona and Emily and they made me feel so at ease. Fiona explained things in a very simple, knowledgeable and professional manner but also in a way that didn't scare me half to death. I learned more from just one visit than i had in the last 20 years. I have been there a few times recently, and now Liz the hygienist is also looking after me expertly too. Each time it has been a positive experience for me and i feel totally relaxed each time i go there. We have a good laugh too and i leave there equally relaxed.I have read a lot of the other reviews on here for D&T and they echo all of my thoughts completely. There are a couple of negative ones though that don't make any sense to me whatsoever and are nowhere close to my experiences.Believe me.....if you're looking for a fantastic dentist , you're on the right page. If in a few days/weeks you're still not sure and still sitting on the fence, then you must like splinters!I'm looking forward to seeing Fiona, Emily and Liz again soon.I know i'm in good hands.

I have been attending Dawood and Tanner for some 24 years! My mouth was in need of a lot of work, despite the fact that I regularly visited a dentist (evidently not a good one though). My root canals were failing and I had gum disease! At Dawood and Tanner I had many hygiene visits and deep cleaning from Fiona MacKillop and then she performed surgery on my gums. Eventually I was rid of gum disease. Then Andrew Dawood sorted out my root canals and my implant. The hygienist helped me with teeth whitening. I developed a gap between my front two teeth due to the previous gum disease allowing the teeth to twist and that needed to be addressed with orthodontics. I had braces fitted to both my top and bottom teeth to straighten them to prevent the damage getting worse. One and a half years later they were straight. Next issue: my jaw was slightly crooked causing my teeth to wear down at an angle. To address this problem Andrew Chandrapal bonded my teeth and Fiona adjusted my crowns to create an even biting surface. Jenny Huntley makes sure my hygiene is kept up to scratch; I see her every three months. Over the years I have seen the business grow, adding more staff and more services, but still staying warm and genuinely friendly. They have some of the best equipment anywhere and they work as a team. At one point 3 experts had a meeting about my teeth!Yes it has stretched my finances over the years but I still have my teeth - I can eat well, they look really healthy and natural, and will continue to last me the next 24 years with help from the team at Dawood & Tanner.

I've been attending Dawood and Tanner for a number of years and I would highly recommend my dentist Fiona. She is extremely professional, an expert in her field and is an exceptional dentist. If anyone is looking for a first class dentist, look no further than Fiona. I have had implants carried out by Andrew ( whole mouth ) in 1 day I have been so impressed with the outcome after care was excellent by Susan on a regular intervals and I am still attending for hygiene 4times a year .I would highly recommend Dawood and Tanner as Andrew & Susan are very warm & caring towards their patients

I was recommended to see Dr Fiona MacKillop by my own dentist who advised the only solution to two lost teeth was a denture or an implant, which would require a sinus lift, bone graft and the very awkward removal of broken tooth. Not only was I totally reassured that this work, that everyone else had told me was complicated and possibly painful, was routine for Fiona, it was just that! The sinus lift, bone graft and the implants were totally painless, in fact I never had any pain killers afterwards at all, not because I am a hero, but because I had no pain and only very mild 'discomfort'Fionas nurse, Emily, helped make the whole process almost a pleasure, the right balance of concern, professionalism and humour was what prompted me to do this review. I can totally recommend this team to everyone. Thank you Fiona and Emily!
